I spy.......................... a criminal background check!
Posted by boomerang on May, 12. :: 17 Comments
Okay. Whatever. I want to run a criminal background check on someone or maybe even a few people.

There are a lot of websites I can pay to do this through and I am willing to pay. But if I'm going to pay I don't want to poke and hope that I've found a good site. Can you recommend one?

What do I need besides a name and address to effectively do this search?

Please note: I know some of you could probably do this for me. Of those who might be able to, I trust about... ummm... let's see..... 4 of you with this information. If you are one of those 4, and you know who you are, you are welcome to PM me and I will send you the info and my eternal gratitude. If you even have a doubt that you are not one of the 4 please don't bother, I don't want to hurt your feelings by telling you that you aren't one of the fab 4 who have proven themselves to be completely trustworthy. (Seriously, this is not a contest. I'm just paranoid.)

Even if you fall into the "don't bother" category you are still welcome to make a recommendation and I will be really, really grateful.

Thanks!

Extra Legal Appointments

An individual was hired by a government agency and worked for it for a period of time. Then it was discovered that his appointment was in violation of the agency's by laws.

Does the employee get to keep all the wages that were paid to him?

pedofile confusion
Posted by ind on May, 09. :: 2 Comments
There are a few questions In have about the subject, and if anyone could help that would be great.

1. Are there different charges for offenses against teenagers vs. children age ten and younger?

2. How old must one be? I've heard about a 15 year old being charged for looking at underage children on his computer (Turns out later that he never was at all, and charges were dropped) This doesn't make any sense to me. If a child can get off to someone their own age, is that really a bad thing? And is it legally punishable?

3. Where can I read some documents straight from the government online that are better than nonspecific hear-say?

Thanks

Life Insurance on a Non-Relative

Is it legal for a person to permit a life insurance policy to be written on her name where someone other than her will pay any and all costs of the policy and someone other than her will receive any payment(s) by the insurance company on the policy and she will be paid a lump sum upfront to agree to this arrangement?
