Just finished a book by a guy re-doing Hillaire Belloc's Path to Rome, a walk from Toul, France through the Alsace into Switzerland, cross the Alps, and down through Lombardy and Emilia Romagna, Tuscany, to Rome. Different points of view a hundred years apart. I was glad I read it but didn't have to walk it. (No, not Belloc's book, sorry).
