Pretty funny;
My girlfriend used to post there, and she remembers a certain thread about Wayne LaPierre, and a bogus interview. Was it something like... The London Daily Mail? When confronted you actually claimed to be Mr. NOTAGUNNUT in an effort to save face, and discredit him even more. She says you were then outsmarted by him resulting in being embarrased off the board when he demonstrated you were lying about it.

She asked me to ask you about it. Was that you? She is pretty sure.

You do realize you're posting to someone who hasn't posted in over a year?

You stated elsewhere that you need to get the last word in, but come on! Laughing

Hey i was just wondering if anyone could share their views on whether

having an online identity that is different to reality is the same as acting

as a character.

I am an actress. It's not at all like acting. I used to create different characters when I posted at Sunspot. What it is like is writing a script.

I created a character named Roxanne who was a dim-witted slightly demented born again Christian secretary who didn't know how to type. One particularly slow individual at Sunspot (now BS.com) named NOTAGUNNUT would get into vociferous debates with Roxanne, one classic thread asked the question "If Jesus walked the earth today, would he join the NRA?" People still talk abourt nut getting sucked in to that one. I even wrote a song titled as such and it became a cult internet classic at mp3.com.

Roxxxanne has a long time history as a character here, the history with different names. The tauntathon that goes on is adolescent, to me, sort of like the recent influxation from Belfast. Roxxxanne the a2k person is also a real person that some other a2kers have met. Uh, grow up - that not directed specifically to you, maporshe.
