The problem this family has is that fruits and vegetables, raw, may introduce bacteria into the girl's weakened immune system, causing problems.
How much do you have to cook fruits or vegies to make them safe?
What is the best way to cook them for safety while retaining their nutritive qualities?
Does freezing fruit kill harmful bacteria?
Does anyone have any great recipes for this diet?
hello everyone,
I do know a fair amount about this type of diet, I have worked in the health food industry where people are looking for alternative help. Also my brother in law suffered from lung cancer a few years back, this diet helped slow the progression of the tumors. He started too late as he thought he had more time, he was not told originally how aggressive that type of cancer can be.
You should lightly steam the veggies, use berries now that it is the season----they are more alkaline of the fruit family. I would also recommend a good "greens" drink that is made from fruits and vegetables, be sure it is organic too. The best one I have seen is called "New Chapter" product called "Berry Greens"-----it has the special probiotics that is good support for the colon health. It is all organic whole foods, easy to digest and loaded with nutrients. Here is the site:

I hope that helps and there is more I can tell you if you are still interested. The main idea is to get the best and highest nutrient foods to rebuild the body, and a good help for the bacteria is to buy "probiotics" at your health food store. Tell her to take a lot of it as it is very safe and will help the immune system as well as digestion. That's it for now, be well----Chris.
