Can anyone please tell me if there is a rule of thumb regarding the usage of GRAY or GREY (referring to Cashwords 313d warship colour).
Thanks, Emma-Kate
As far as I know, apart from specific spelling of surnames, usage in Australia is 'GREY' (officially we speak English, not American).
I would be interested if there are other opinions on this.

Thanks Lezzles, thought it might be worth checking. I lean towards grey too, so that will do me. I will still keep an eye on the thread though, to see if opinions differ. Thanks again. Emma-Kate

A simple google search verifies Lezzles assumption:

My entry has been submitted to Lovatts, and my copy shows the answer as "GREY". Just to verify Lezzles submission.

in the free dictionary gray comes first with grey being a variant of gray.
in the free dictionary grey is a variant of gray.
I don't think you will be punished for using either entry, i'm sure this will be explained in "THE JUDGE SUMS UP" in Mays issue
Personally I will be using the version grey, as I think it looks better.

In the Internet cafes which I use sometimes of a lunch-time - for some
