Hi friends...

I am in immigration procedure to Australia I will get my PR by 4-6 month.

I am civil engineer with master in hydraulics and 6 years of experience. My main proficiency is in water and waste water engineering.

I don't know which city of AU to select?

Are there any priority due to my proficiency?

What are the main differences between these 3 cities?

thank you all for responding.

Well -
Sydney has had a ton of rain lately;
we have a water shortage despite this; (why don't they build the bloody dams where it rains!?)
we are still on level 3 water restrictions;
the bloody government is threatening us with a water desalination plant;
and the sewers are filled to .....
and so on..........

Other cities - haven't got a clue! Sorry.

I don't really have a clue what a waste water engineer does - can you tell by my ramblings (all in an Aussie accent, mind you! Razz )

A water and waste water engineer is a person who can design pipe network for collecting the storm water and sewage and then transfer them to treatment plant.

Hello again, Zartosht.

I imagine that someone in your line of work would be in demand in the southern states of Australia at the moment, though I'm no expert in this area, you understand. I'll have a bit of a think & return, OK?

Is this the sort on plant you'd work in? This is in my state, Victoria. (Melbourne is the capital city.)

I think there would be work for you in all three cities. - So it's really a question of which city you would rather live in. What sort of climate do you like?

Are you interested in finding an Iranian community in your adopted city? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iranian_Australian

With all the irrigation infrastructure projects in the north of the state and pipeline projects around Melbourne that will happen in the next few years I'd suggest there would be demand in Victoria (Melbourne).

Thank you hingehead and dadpad....

Regarding the climate, I should say I can not stand hot weather!!

I am from a a very cold region in Iran.

So, from all directions it seems that I should think about melbourne. right?
