The Holy Bible - Only 4 centuries too late, a compilation of documents from at least 200 authors, probably highly edited and mistranslated but regarded as the best selling book in the history of the world. These writings do not contain anything from Jesus Christ himself nor did he sanction its creation, so why has it become his essential reading and the worlds supposed guide for the well being of the soul.

The Holy Qur'an - 16 years after Mohammed’s death appeared the Qur'an, but the oldest available version is at least 300 years after his death. supposedly narrated by the prophet himself (Because in Gods mighty wisdom he choose an illiterate religious leader), never proof read by the man himself, and although claimed to be a perfect copy of the original just raises an eyebrow at such dubious and dodgy claims

So the Qur'an is the winner by 100 years, it only being 300 years too late, does that make it anymore authentic? Of course they are really only books created by individual elitist groups for the single reason of mass control, creating power and inspiring fear, and at tthe end of the day why would God feel obliged to make updates that contradict themselves and each other, but of course why should he explain himself to us, he does work in mysterious ways. What a convenient escape clause.

Both constantly contradict themselves and cause stupid confrontation and sectarianism... I'm not saying do not belive in it, its your human free will to worship what you want, but do not cause pain and suffering and riots over a book that stoners many years ago wrote for a bit of fun and wanted ta make money out of... because i for one refuse to believe the 'bibles' lies, especially after the catholic corrupting it even more and hiding massive passages from the public.
Is that a religion? Well i don't want part of it.
I believe in A god, but not the same one everyone else that waste their time infront of an old man/woman every sunday morning having the lies poured into there ears...

too late too be accurately associated with any of the events it claims to be associated with, considering the books that are within tend to get shorter the older they get

Mohammed was a prophet of Jesus Christ so why do the two books have to necessarily conflict (other than in erroneous perceptions of them)?

The Bible predicts prophets, apostles, evangelists, pastors and teachers will arise out of the Christian church.

Another option in the poll is that the true word of God is contained in "both" books in varying degrees.

Nope. Sorry, rex. Sorry, Christians. Mohammed is the last prophet and the Word was fulfilled and will be unchanged even when and if Jesus was to come back. The Koran is the final word and you guys had your chance to embrace it but you missed it and are now stuck living in apostasy. Too bad. Even more too bad for the Jews. They missed the Message of God twice.

However, everyone can save themselves merely by embracing Islam and declaring their belief in the One True God.
