I live near rochester ny, How many people have lived in or near Rochester and what did you think of the area??

If you moved away are you glad you did it, and would you recommend the place you moved to?

How were you able to pack things up and move?

suggestions on starting a new life some where are welcomed lol

I grew up in Rochester, and at a certain point I got bored. I got up and moved away. It was a fantastic idea, and I will never regret it. Rochester is a wonderful place and it has wonderful people and some great things, like a surprisingly good music scene for such a small city, Country Sweet Chicken Wings, Cobbs Hill Park, and one of the best college radio stations ever, WBER, but winter lasts forEVER, and besides, it's good to explore the world outside your own backyard.

So what part of Rochester are you from?

I am glad I moved. But I got lucky, and ended up in Manhattan. Very lucky. You, on the other hand, might end up in a gutter somewhere begging for change. Who knows? There is one simple rule to starting a new life in a new place, and this is it: Be able to provide for yourself. If you can do that, everything else is gravy. What do you do for a living? Where are you thinking of moving?

I lived in Rochester while on a project looking at some salt deposits near Brockport. Man was that town cold in the winter. I think it was the gloomy cold that was infused with a hellish dampness that killed you. Outside of that, it wasnt too bad.
