Call of Duty 2, split screen live play??

Hi, can anybody tell me if the split screen option for xbox live on COD2 is still available, and if so how do we do it?

We remember having a lot of trouble with split screen online play (eg getting the second player into the online match) before, but we don't seem to be able to do it at all now.

Does anyone know if it's still possible?
