BEER

I like British styled beers - ale, porter, stout, IPA, bitters, etc.

I drink Harpoon IPA (Boston brew) in bars around here. I love dogfish Head and am just starting to get to know that brewery. Ipswich (also local) makes a good set of beers. There was my old favrite from college - Catamount brewery in VT which was bought by Harpoon. My town, here, has the Cambridge Brewing Company which makes a greta set of beers as well.

I am not worthy of Stone's arrogant bastard ale, let alone it's double bastard ale. It's IPA is wonderful. They are from San Diego, I think.

Sierra Nevada for IPA. Guiness, and for domestic Coor's Light. On tap, I dig Sam Adams Cherry Wheat, too.

I'm no connoisseur, I like wine and booze. But I do like these two. We have a lot of microbreweries in our area. A large part of Wildberries Marketplace is devoted to a wide seletion of those brews...

I have seen the Dogfish ale at the local store will have to check that out, and I will definitley keep an eye out for the arrogant bastard ale. Has anyone tried anything from Bells, its out of Kalamazoo, Mi.
They had a brew that was called eccentric stout that sold locally for 15 dollars a six pack. If I remember correctly it was abou12% alcohol, very strong and rich beer.

I had the unique experience to buy a bottle of Sam Adams millenium edition, only three thousand bottles were made. I have #0456 My friend worked at a liquor store and bugged the Sam Adams rep every time he came in for a bottle to buy, he finally got one. That bottle cost $100.00 and if I didn't open it I could have sold it for three, but I had to try it. It didn't taste like a beer in the traditional sense but was delicious none the less, aged for five years in scotch, port, and cognac barrells. I just wish I could get my hands on another bottle.

mmm, I've seen that. My local beer/wine shop had a bottle. I wonder if it was even for sale. So, try to explain the flavor.....?

Almost like a sweet wine , hints of caramel and vanilla, a little (for lack of a better term) smokey. Can (still have a tiny bit left so thanks for the oppurtunity to take a sip) taste hints of scotch and cognac. It was 24% alcohol so it was billed as the strongest beer ever made.

mmmmmm, sounds yummy.

Fat Tire is probably my favorite right now.

Other favs are Guinness stout and Newcastle Brown Ale. Hell, I like any beer.

Although IPA is a new term on me. I'm guessing it's big back East? And what is the difference between 60, 90, and 120 minute IPA?

Had a lot of fat Tire when I was in Colo. in oct.. Good beer, but nonetheless, I still prefer a german pils, or maybe an export, to any yank beer. Sorry.
