What does it take to become a Technical Writer?

Reply Wed 20 Jul, 2005 11:29 pm
Hey, I was just wondering what it would take to become a Technical Writer. I am an English Major. I was wondering if you would need special classes. Would you be able to take classes on the internet? I have other questions, but I would like to get this answered. It would also, be helpful if someone could possibly point me to the right directions.

Thank You!

Leon

What field/s are you interested in writing about.

Obviously a technical writer in physics needs a background in physics and a technical writer for stem cell research needs....
