"Name that Animal" picture game.

The object of the game is to identify the animal pictured.

Along with your identification of the animal, post a link to some information about the animal (also serves to validate the identification).

Once you have correctly identified the animal, post a picture of your own.

Provide as much detail in your identification as is reasonable.

Yup, ask all the questions you like. I just hope I can answer them. Smile

I don't think that animal is a Lemur. It's common name implies something other than lemur. But I'll do a bit of research to make sure.

Not a Bush Baby.

This nocturnal animal lives in small family groups, and spends the hours of daylight hidden in hollows in the trees, or in vine tangles. Location: From Panama to northeastern Argentina. It's a bit larger than a Bush Baby. It's also the only nocturnal monkey in the New World.

This beauty was found in my basement (typical location for the species). There is reference to him on another A2K thread. It took Dasha and I days to figure out what type he is.

I found the following pic on the web, which I think might be the same spider... unfortunately, it's posted on a site called "name that pest". Just my luck, nobody else can identify it either.

I'm headed out for dinner, but I'll try again when I get back... if someone else hasn't ID'd the culprit before I get back.

It looks like a very similar spider, but I can't say for sure whether it is or not! Now what? If I had a name for it, I could tell you one way of the other.

On further searching, I think rosborne's spider is a dolomes (nursery web spider).
